There’s no reason to complain about having nothing to do in Westfield tomorrow.
Start with a trip to the Westfield Farmer’s Market from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Moore Park. Be sure to stop to see artist Erica Grohol at the WDC table and pick up her winning entry in the 2011 poster contest.
Then stop by the Barcelona Bash on First Street in Barcelona from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m, with food, contests, entertainment to kick off the Summer Season. Don’t miss the car cruise-in at noon and the pie contest judging and tasting at 1:30 (anyone can enter).
Finish the day off back at Moore Park with the annual fundraiser of the McClurg Museum. For a $50/person donation music and hors d’oeuvres are provided, along with a preview of the museum’s new Civil War exhibit, “Re/Union: The Civil War Sesquicentennial.” All proceeds support museum operations.
Saturday also marks the start of the 27th annual Southtowns Walleye Tournament, so look for a lot of activity on Dan Reed Pier and around Barcelona.
