If you’ve got ideas about where Chautauqua County should be headed, the Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Economic Development wants to hear from you. For two years, county planners have been working in collaboration with the public and other stakeholders to develop Chautauqua 20/20, a County-wide Comprehensive Plan to chart a course for the future.
All the input received at meetings held throughout the planning process, including public meetings held in February and May, has been assimilated into an Action Plan and two public workshops have been scheduled to present the Action Plan and get feedback. This is a critical time in the planning process – the final series of meetings to be heard on Chautauqua County’s future and everyone is encouraged to attend.
The first public workshop of this final meeting series will be held on Tuesday, October 19th at 6:30 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel’s Lighthouse Ballroom in Dunkirk. The second workshop will be held on Wednesday, October 20th at 6:30 p.m. at the Hamilton Collegiate Center – Student Union, located at Jamestown Community College’s Jamestown Campus.
Don’t miss this opportunity to participate in the shaping of Chautauqua County’s future. Any comments or questions regarding the upcoming public meetings or any other aspects of the Comprehensive Plan should be addressed to Mark Geise, Deputy Director, Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Economic Development at firstname.lastname@example.org or 716-661-8912.
