Neighbor to Neighbor! Westfield Talks Affordability!
May 5, 2026 6pm - 8pm
Eason Hall, 23 Elm Street, Westfield NY
A good life is getting harder and harder to afford no matter where you live. With this in mind Good Neighbors Getting it Done in WNY is holding a series of Community Conversations about Affordability across Western NY and the Southern Tier with Aaron Gies, the only endorsed Democratic Candidate for the NY 23rd Congressional District.
Tuesday May 5th at Eason Hall, 23 Elm Street, Westfield at 6pm, the community is invited to attend a neighbor to neighbor discussion about the affordability crisis that is affecting our lives. As the wealth of the United States has had an enormous shift to the very top, political power has shifted with it. Congress has abandoned its role as a check on who is taxed and how the administration spends our tax dollars. We invite voters in Chautauqua County to talk to each other. Decide which questions are most important for you and your neighbors, then pose those questions to Aaron Gies, Democratic Candidate for Congress, who will lead the room in conversation around the topics you choose.
Each congressman represents 761,000 people. How we spend our federal dollars reflects what we value as a nation. Unless it presents a good photo op, the only opportunity you have to talk in person to the current Congressman is if you are a rich donor. Did the One Big Beautiful Bill help people in NY 23? Is the money going for war actually keeping us safer? Is it helping farmers and rural communities or anybody who is struggling? These are the broad questions that Aaron Gies and Good Neighbors Getting it Done in WNY are asking. We want to hear the questions the people across Nick Langworthy’s district are asking, because it is clear that he is not listening.

Good Neighbors Getting it Done in WNY is a non-partisan, all volunteer, unpaid organization that holds all political parties to account, defends democracy and the Constitution and gives voice to the less powerful. Mr. Langworthy was invited to attend a series of Bipartisan Town Halls that we hosted between December 2025 and April of 2026. After the first response indicating that he will only communicate with the public via telephone town halls, Mr. Langworthy ignored our invitations. Jim King, Republican from Owego, NY participated instead and will be running as a write-in candidate for Congress in November. Aaron Gies, the only endorsed Democratic candidate, continues to work with us as part of his engagement with communities across this large district.
